Bruce Springsteen (73) has postponed all his performances from September. The reason: the musician is suffering from a stomach ulcer and has to be treated. The singer announced this in a statement on social media. It said his medical advisors advised him to take the rest of the month off to focus on his health.

It breaks his heart to have to postpone these shows, said Springsteen, who apologized to fans. The performances will be rescheduled, the singer promises and adds: “Thank you for your understanding and support. We had a lot of fun at our shows in the USA and look forward to more great times. We will be back soon.”

Concerts in August have also been postponed

A few weeks ago, the “Thunder Road” singer canceled two concerts in Philadelphia due to an unknown illness. “Due to Bruce Springsteen’s illness, his concerts with the E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed,” a statement said at the time.

Shows now affected include performances in Syracuse, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Uncasville, Albany, Columbus and Washington, DC

Shock moment in Amsterdam

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band kicked off their 2023 tour on February 1st in Tampa, Florida and have since performed extensively throughout North America and Europe. There had already been a brief moment of shock in May.

Springsteen fell in the middle of the stage during a performance in Amsterdam. A fan video circulated on Twitter at the time and concert-goer who showed the incident. With a guitar in hand, Springsteen walked up the stairs on stage, apparently missing one of the steps. He stumbled and then lay on his back for a short time. His bandmates rushed to his aid, but found the US singer to be fine. The 73-year-old quickly got up again and joked into the microphone: “Good night everyone!” He was able to finish the concert without any problems.
