Bulgarian airline: Voyage Air is suspending flight operations for the time being

The Bulgarian airline Voyage Air even flew to Germany for a short time and had big plans for Bremen. But now the airline says goodbye to the market – at least for the time being.

At first, Voyage Air was active as a virtual airline. In the summer of 2020, it then began operations as a fully-fledged charter airline with a Boeing 737-500. About a year later, she rehired him to restart in 2022 with a 737-400, registration LZ-PRS. However, the Bulgarian airline’s jet took off for the last time in September 2022.

In February 2023, Voyage Air therefore applied to the Bulgarian aviation authority to suspend its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) for six months. The authority agreed to this in March, as reported by the CH Aviation portal. It also ordered the temporary end of leases for the Boeing 737-400 and suspended the airline’s operating license. The airline’s website is no longer functional.

In the summer of 2020, Voyage Air flew between Bremen and Varna via a contract with the Bulgarian Electra Airways. Plans for a base in the northern German city buried them again in 2021.
