Bull on M6: what awaits you in the final season without Freddy Rodriguez (Benny)

M6 will broadcast from this Saturday evening the first two episodes of the new season 6 of “Bull”. The opportunity to come back to what awaits you in the final salvo of episodes of the judicial series led by Michael Weatherly.

Almost a year to the day after the broadcast of season 5, M6 launches this Saturday, May 7 from 9:10 p.m. the kickoff of the sixth and final season of Bull, its flagship legal series carried by Michael Weatherly (NCIS).

These are therefore the last adventures for Jason Bull and his team of experts, CBS having announced the cancellation of the series at the end of season 6 last January. A decision largely linked to Michael Weatherly’s desire to move on after six years in the shoes of the psychologist specializing in legal advice, but also to the audience scores for the series which were increasingly disappointing.

According to TVLine, Bull has posted an average of 7.5 million viewers since the start of its sixth season, for a rate of 0.6 among 18-49 year olds. Down by 13% and 25% respectively on these two indicators compared to season 5. Bull will therefore bow out on May 26 in the United States.

This new burst of episodes is also placed under the sign of change since Freddy Rodriguez, who played Benny, and showrunner Glenn Gordon Caron, both present on the series since its debut in 2016, were fired in the spring of 2021 following a internal investigation into the working conditions on the set of the series.

This new season of Bull, now headed by showrunners Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard, will be an opportunity to see Chunk (Christopher Jackson) take the lead within the team, while Marissa (Geneva Carr), Taylor (MacKenzie Meehan ), and Danny (Jaime Lee Kirchner) will have an even greater place in the plots.

The opening of this season 6 also promises to be eventful since Bull and his wife Izzy (Yara Martinez) will have to face, in the first episode entitled “Disappearance”, the kidnapping of their daughter Astrid. While the kidnapper threatens to kill her if they warn the authorities, Bull will discover that this kidnapping may be linked to one of his old cases.

In “The Killing Smile”, the second episode broadcast at 9:55 p.m., the team defends a client accused of having made confidential government documents public. Bull, who has not recovered from the trauma of Astrid’s kidnapping, risks compromising the outcome of the trial…

Find the new season 6 of Bull every Saturday evening from 9:10 p.m. on M6. The episodes are also already available in US+24 on Salto.
