Valve has announced the Steam Deck OLED. We’ll tell you when and where you can buy or pre-order the new handheld.

Valve has announced a new version of the Steam Deck. Instead of Steam Deck 2, this is called Steam Deck OLED. The name of course comes from the built-in OLED screen. The OLED version offers further technical improvements compared to Steam Deck LCD, which we will discuss in the linked comparison. But where can you buy the new handheld?
The first port of call is of course the Valve Store. However, you’ll have to be patient a little longer, because advance sales don’t start until November 16th at 7 p.m. Then both the 512 gigabyte (569 euros) and the 1 terabyte model (679 euros) are available.

The latter comes with a carrying case with a removable inner pocket, an exclusive start animation and a virtual keyboard in an exclusive design. In the USA and Canada, Valve is also selling the 1 terabyte model of the Steam Deck OLED in a limited edition with a new color. However, this will not be available in this country.
It remains to be seen whether there will be other retailers offering the handheld on November 16th. You can currently get the Steam Deck from the following retailers. It is quite possible that they will also offer the OLED version. Just stop by.
