Buzz Lightyear: Cult Villain Returns in New Trailer

Expected for June 22 at the cinema, Buzz Lightyear reveals exciting new images!

“To infinity and beyond !” Buzz Lightyear, a character well known to fans of the Toy Story saga, will be entitled to his origin story on the big screen. Indeed, before being a toy, Buzz was a real space ranger, no offense to Woody the cowboy, who didn’t believe a word of it in the first film.

After the first images revealed last October, the famous astronaut is back in an explosive new trailer! Our ranger is obviously stuck on a hostile planet with a team ready to send him into space for a high-risk mission.

On his journey, Buzz will meet a robot-cat named Socks, a sort of echo of the feline seen in Ridley Scott’s Alien. Then, our hero will have to face many enemies, including a bad guy straight from the first 3 parts of the franchise: Zurg.

AN EMBLEMATIC ENEMY

The Emperor is mentioned in the first installment of the series, but it is only in the second that he appears, as well as at the end of Toy Story 3. This time, it seems that he is the main villain of Buzz Lightning.

Directed by Angus MacLane, co-director of Finding Dory, the work brings together many classics of the genre, from Lost in Space to The Right Stuff via Interstellar or Alien.

Note that in the 4 feature films of the franchise, the intrepid ranger was dubbed by Richard Darbois, known in particular for being the French voice of Harrison Ford. In the original version, it will not be dubbed by Tim Allen, as in the original Toy Story, but by Chris Evans. Ironically, it is Adrien Antoine, French voice of Chris Hemsworth, who will lend his stamp to Buzz for France.

We can however console ourselves by finding the inimitable voice of Richard Darbois on Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic World: The world after (June 8, 2022) then on Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5 (June 28, 2023).

As for Buzz Lightyear, the takeoff of his ship is scheduled for June 22, 2022 at the cinema!
