Bye-bye Brooklyn: NBA superstar Harden joins the 76ers

Bye bye Brooklyn
NBA superstar Harden joins the 76ers

Shortly before the end of the transition phase, the deal is perfect: James Harden, one of the superstars of the Brooklyn Nets, will play for the Philadelphia 76ers in the future. According to US media, the 32-year-old is part of an extensive trade – in which Guard Ben Simmons is said to be involved.

The rumors that NBA superstar James Harden is said to be dissatisfied with his role with the Brooklyn Nets have been around for a long time. Now his wish for a transfer in the North American basketball professional league seems to be coming true shortly before the end of the trade deadline. Several US media are reporting that the 32-year-old guard is moving to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Accordingly, Harden is part of a deal in which Philadelphia guard Ben Simmons and other professionals are traded to the Nets. In addition to Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two first-round picks are to move to New York, home of the Nets. In return, the 76ers will also receive Paul Millsap.

Harden was traded to the Nets in January 2021 and was part of the “Big Three” alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. The team from Brooklyn was considered one of the contenders for the title before the current season, but so far has not been able to live up to expectations. The main reason for the mixed record is that the trio was rarely on the field together because Irving is not vaccinated against the corona virus.
