CAC 40: When will the CAC 40 companies publish their results for the first half of 2023?

(BFM Bourse) – The traditional half-year results season has already started in the United States and will begin the coming week on the most famous Paris Stock Exchange index. And like every year, the publications are very concentrated on the last week of July.

It is a key moment in the life of companies which takes place in the middle of the summer fervor: the results of the first half. These publications make it possible to take the pulse of the major French groups and to see whether they are ahead or behind on their annual objectives. The ball has already started in the United States with the results of banks such as JPMorgan, Citigroup and Wells Fargo on Friday.

On the CAC 40, the kick-off will be given Thursday by Publicis, which will thus be the first tenant of the index to reveal its half-yearly accounts. In the process, Thales will in turn deliver its results the next day, July 21.

The last week of July will be busy

But the real main course will be served the week of July 24 to 28. No less than 32 CAC 40 groups will deliver results this week, ie 80% of the index. Five of them (Veolia, Legrand, Société Générale, Crédit Agricole SA, Axa) will follow the following week

This high concentration is in fact usual over this period, with companies announcing their results to allow their employees to go on vacation afterwards. Even if in the past a small remnant of CAC 40 companies published at the end of August or the beginning of September. For example, Bouygues unveiled until last year its half-year results at the end of August.

Pernod Ricard, for its part, will close the ball by publishing not its half-year results but all of its accounts for its 2022-2023 financial year ending at the end of June.

Here is, by date, the calendar of half-yearly publications (with the exception therefore of Pernod Ricard and Alstom which publishes, for its part, order intake and its turnover for the first quarter of its staggered financial year) of the all residents of the CAC 40.
