Ally McBeal marked the 1990s. Cult series, it was based on a cast of choice: Lucy Liu, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Greg Germann, Robert Downey Jr or Portia de Rossi. But the star of the show was unquestionably Calista Flockhart who played Ally McBeal. Today, what is it becoming? Well, the 57-year-old American actress could well return to the spotlight in a sequel to the series.
This is Deadline which announces this Tuesday August 23 that a continuation ofAlly McBeal could well see the light of day, and the actress would be in talks with ABC. In this sequel, fans will be able to follow the adventures of a young black lawyer, out of law school and who joins the famous law firm Cage and Fish. It may well be that she is actually the daughter of Renée Raddick, the heroine’s roommate and best friend, then played by Lisa Nicole Carson. Whether or not Calista Flockhart will return to the role that elevated him to stardom remains to be seen.
Anorexia and professional desert
We learn that the series is still “to its first developments“, and Calista Flockhart should make up her mind”when a screenplay will be written“. David E. Kelley, creator of the series to whom we also owe Big Little Lies, will not be part of his side, he nevertheless validated the project.
