Microsoft has however already signed “a 10-year commitment to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo” and assured that the games in the series would also be released on Steam in day oneif the takeover is finalized. playstation has not yet entered the dance, certainly to defend its interests beyond a decade and this franchise. Still, relations with nintendo are fine, and the contract that could bind them to Microsoft has even just been strengthened and ratified.
Brad Smith, director of Microsoftindeed posted a message on social networks indicating that he had finalized a legal agreement with nintendo. The message clearly mentions playstationrecalling that Microsoft still wishes to involve its competitor in the same type of contract. the covenant Microsoft-Nintendo is, on the other hand, surprising: at the sight of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (available from €64.99 per Fnac) and its technical qualities, it’s hard to believe that all of its content and features could have been ported to Switch. There is no doubt that nintendo is preparing a successor, would that mean that the Switch 2 would have the ability to run a Call of Duty next gen without blushing too much? And this from 2024?
