There’s nothing more infuriating than running into a big cheater in a game of Call of Duty. Activision is doing everything to stem this scourge and communicates its progress over the months. The latest idea to eliminate cheaters is simple: disarm them to take away all interest in the game.
Team Ricochet is a group of developers within Activision responsible for combating cheating on the Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone servers. She shares her work via a blog post and gives us news today.
Activision fights against cheating in Vanguard and Warzone
As explained on the official site, the Ricochet team observes the behavior of players in the middle of the game in order to find the offenders and automate the sanctions. Once the cheater is spotted, the software strips him of all his weapons, even his fists! He can continue to cheat if he wants to, but he no longer has any chance of being a nuisance to others.

This is not the first technique presented by Team Ricochet. A few months ago, for example, the teams returned much more resistant to damage players struggling with cheaters.
