- Microsoft has made some announcements about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
- Firstly, the CoD Next event will take place on September 15th with information about the future of CoD.
- Shortly thereafter, the beta for Modern Warfare 2 will start.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been announced and is already available for pre-order, but so far there has been no information about the upcoming beta or multiplayer mode.
Event with multiplayer reveal and more
Activision is not participating in Gamescom 2022, but the company has announced the Call of Duty Next event for September 15th.
At this event, the company wants to present the future of Call of Duty. As Activision announced on Twitter, in addition to information about Warzone, there should also be an unveiling of the multiplayer mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The company may also be addressing the planned takeover by Microsoft, in which some fans, despite Microsoft’s assurances, are still concerned that CoD could be Xbox-exclusive in the future.
Modern Warfare 2 beta
Shortly after the event, the beta phase for multiplayer mode will start. As usual, those who pre-order will get earlier access to the test phase than those who have not yet purchased the game. In addition, PlayStation players can start earlier than users of other platforms.

You can collect various rewards while participating in the beta, but only those who pre-order the Vault Edition can use them during the beta.
