Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Find out which famous character is making a comeback!

In a few days, we will be able to get our hands on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and more precisely on October 28th. However, for those who have pre-ordered the game, early access to the campaign will be available on October 20, and on the occasion of its upcoming release, we had the right to its launch trailer, and it sends very very heavy.

If we were able to see our Task Force 141 operators, we were able to discover, in particular thanks to our colleagues at CharlieIntel, the return of an emblematic character of the license through this video, Lieutenant General Shepherd.

Shepherd back in Modern Warfare 2’s campaign

While the first gameplay images of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign last summer gave us an idea of the title, the launch trailer presented on October 6th raised the bar a little higher, as well as the excitement also it must be admitted. In this campaign, we will be dealing with Captain Price and Task Force 141, as well as Operator Alejandro Vargas and the Mexican forces, and if we could see all this gratin in the launch trailer, we were also able to see to our great surprise General Shepherd, a character played by Glenn Morshower.

If this name speaks to you, it is not for nothing. General Shepherd played a major role in the licensing of Call of Duty, most notably in 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as he betrayed Task Force 141. Moreover, his presence here may surprise more than one since his character ends up dying in the MW2 of 2009. However, it seems that we are dealing here with a completely different version of this character, but to find out, we will have to wait until October 28th.

At the time of writing these lines, the details of the story are still very mysterious, but we already know that the events we will face will be in the continuity of those of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. of 2019.

A few details to settle before the release

As a reminder, Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC consoles, and as we told you a little above, players who pre-ordered the game will have early access to the campaign.

However, before the publication of the said title, Infinity Ward, which is at the head of MW2, still has its work cut out since the beta phases have unfortunately not convinced the community much. On the program, several corrections to come, in particular that of the visibility of enemies, but also a rebalancing of weapons, a modification of the view of the 3rd person camera and of course several other bug fixes.

While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has not even been released and will show up in a few days, here is a leak that has just shed light on the Sledgehammer Games studio which would be at the head of an upcoming Call of Duty. We tell you everything.
