The information comes from the famous Call of Duty leaker, TheGhostofHope, which is far from its first attempt in terms of revelations. He therefore evokes the presence of this ambitious pack of cards which could arrive on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, in the second year of content, if MW2 is not abandoned after twelve months. There would be talk of an offer bringing together the most emblematic classic cards of the entire franchise call of duty.
Although the game is developed by Infinity Ward, the selection would also extend to the creations of other creators who worked on the saga, namely Treyarch Studios or Sledgehammer Games. If the rumor were to materialize, it would be an offer that should satisfy a large part of the community who could take advantage of these new cards in a new setting.

However, the leak evokes another aspect that is out of the ordinary: the price of new maps. It’s a trend that had disappeared with the latest iterations of the series, but the pack in question could be chargeable. If offering paid cards was a recurring practice a few years ago, the process has not been relevant for three years.
In particular through the appearance of battle pass systems, which have ensured long-term revenue for games. Nothing says that Modern Warfare 2 won’t feature any new free maps, but this new addition might be an exception in terms of the breadth of content on offer.
As a reminder, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be available from October 28, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC. Early access, to play the title instead, therefore begins on October 20.
