Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will probably receive additional multiplayer maps after release. We’ll tell you how many new cards are planned.

- There are 16 multiplayer maps in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
- Six more will be added during Seasons 1 and 2.
- A total of 12 new maps will be released for the shooter.
In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 you have 16 revised maps from its predecessor, Modern Warfare 2. Sledgehammer Games has already given you a first insight into the modified cards in a YouTube video.
There is now news about additional multiplayer maps. According to a statement from CharlieIntel on X (formerly Twitter), the development team plans to provide at least 12 more maps after the release of Modern Warfare 3.
12 new cards
Sledgehammer Games apparently planned six of these maps for the first two seasons of Modern Warfare 3. Three new maps will be available in Season 1, while the remaining three will follow in the second season.
With the start of the second season of Modern Warfare 3, a total of 22 multiplayer maps will be playable. Aside from these six new maps during the first two seasons, Sledgehammer Games is presumably planning to offer six more maps for players.
The development studio could possibly release these in the third and fourth seasons of Modern Warfare 3. However, detailed information is not yet available.
