Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden surprised their fans with news: the two have become parents for the second time.

Cameron Diaz (51) and husband Benji Madden (45) have surprisingly announced in a joint Instagram post that they had become parents again. “We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden,” they wrote in a joint statement. “He’s amazing and we’re all so happy he’s here!”

Fans have to do without baby photos

In their post, the couple simply posted a colorful picture and explained why they won’t be posting a baby photo: “For the safety and privacy of the children, we won’t be posting pictures – but he is really cute. We feel so blessed and grateful. Send Lots of love from our family to yours.”

Cameron Diaz and Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden have been married since 2015 and keep their personal lives away from the public as best they can. In 2019, their daughter Raddix Chloe Wildflower Madden was born. At the beginning of January 2020, Cameron Diaz announced the birth of her daughter in an Instagram post just in time for the New Year: “Happy New Year from the Maddens. We are so happy, blessed and grateful that we can start the year with the birth of our daughter Raddix Madden to announce.” Diaz already made it clear in this post that they will not be publishing any pictures of their daughter in the future to protect her privacy. According to media reports, Raddix was born via a surrogate mother, but there is no official confirmation.

After the birth of her daughter, Diaz initially gave up her acting career for her family. She devoted herself entirely to her family, but also found the time to publish several books. Diaz recently appeared in front of the camera again alongside Jamie Foxx (56) for the Netflix film “Back in Action”. It is her first film since retiring from acting in 2018. Her last role to date was in the 2014 musical film “Annie.”
