Cameron Diaz wants to give up her Hollywood career for good – could it be related to a freak out by her colleague Jamie Foxx?
In 2018 she had officially ended her career after 40 films. But then Cameron Diaz, 50, returned to the camera at the request of Jamie Foxx, 55. But that should now finally be over: the actress no longer wants to make films.
Cameron Diaz pulls the ripcord
As the Daily Mail reports, the ‘Mad About Mary’ actress “hates” being separated from her sweetheart Benji Madden, 44, and especially their baby daughter Raddix, 3. A source told the British newspaper that Diaz struggled with very long working days while filming ‘Back In Action’, which she was talked into making by her close friend Foxx. The Californian has been in front of the camera for the action comedy in Great Britain for up to ten hours a day since November last year – valuable time that she could actually devote to her small family.

“These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have taken a toll on her, and she hates being away from Raddix,” the source said. “Cameron loves being a mom more than anything in the world.” It is questionable whether the fact that Jamie Foxx, who is the producer of the strip, had an “absolute breakdown” on the set, which allegedly led to the dismissal of three employees, could also have contributed to her decision. However, her colleague’s freak out is said to have made her realize why she turned her back on the industry.

However, it seems clear that Cameron Diaz will not be making any more films after the project is completed. According to the insider, not only does she hate being away from her family. “The drama and confrontation” that often erupts on set would also get to her: “She hates drama and confrontation. That’s why she retired from the business in the first place. She’s already proven herself in the industry and doesn’t need anyone anymore to prove something.”
