(CercleFinance.com) – Campbell Soup reports adjusted EPS down 16% to 69 cents for its second quarter 2021-22, as well as adjusted operating profit down 17% to $318 million for revenue down 3% to less than 2.21 billion (-2% organic).
‘As expected, the quarter proved difficult with an unfavorable basis of comparison and supply and labor constraints, aggravated by the emergence of Omicron’, underlines the general manager (CEO) of the agri-food group , Mark Clouse.
“However, we are seeing improving labor supply and service levels, better pass-through of inflation and solid demand levels, all of which support our confidence in our annual targets,” he continued.
