Camping holidays in their own country have been very popular not only since Corona – even if you can now travel to many European countries again. In a new series, FOCUS Online presents the most beautiful campsites in every state: today Schleswig-Holstein.
1. Camping and holiday park Wulfener Hals, Fehmarn
The Wulfener Hals holiday park is located directly on the Wulfener Hals, on a peninsula between the Baltic Sea and an extensive shallow water bay. High hedges and trees structure the pitches, a cliff extends to the sea.

With its wide range, the camping park is particularly suitable for families, but also for kiters, surfers and golfers.
The highlight for those who prefer to enjoy sports on TV is the digital TV reception including Sky, which is available on more than half of the stands. Children get their money's worth on a ride on the Kettcar or in the circus tent with a show stage. There is even a diving school with a filling station, shop and guided wreck dives in the holiday park. In the surf school you learn kite surfing, canoeing and stand-up paddling.
2. Booknis Baltic Park, Waabs
The Booknis amusement park in Waabs blends in between the edge of the forest and the sea. That is why campers will find mostly flat meadows with many rows of hedges and some deciduous trees. You can pitch your tent or caravan near the beach here.
Guests can work out with mini golf, beach volleyball or surfing. When the weather is nice, the campsite also offers an open-air cinema for children every day – when the weather is bad, it takes place in the large event hall. Since the site has 670 parking spaces for long-term campers, but only 130 for holidaymakers and five rental accommodations, "regulars" are bustling here for the most part.
3rd Camping site Baltic Sea Katharinenhof, Fehmarn
Spacious pitches and a wide range of leisure activities await guests at the campsite at the Baltic Sea Katharinenhof on Fehmarn. Trees and hedges surround the square, which mainly consists of meadows.

The square boasts above all with its unspoiled natural beach: "Small romantic corners behind a big stone" says the website. In addition, old tree trunks, a small cliff, several swimming spots and long walks – everything that the outdoor heart desires.
In addition to families, horse fans in particular get their money's worth here because the Katharinenhof is also a riding stable. There are regular horse rides.
If you prefer to spend your holidays on your stomach rather than on horseback, you can get a massage on site. Yoga courses, a diving station and stand-up paddling complete the offer.
4th campsite Rosenfeld beach, pit
With several playgrounds, bouncy castle and a mini club, the campsite on Rosenfeld beach invites families in particular. In addition to the beach and the sea, you can also explore a three-hectare forest including an adventure playground. There are also regular adventures for the little ones, such as creepy walks or treasure hunts.
The campers can relax on the natural beach on the Baltic Sea or with a cool Flensburg on the restaurant terrace. If you want to travel with your dog, you will find a separate space for this.
Camping Rosenfelder Strand is also located directly on the Baltic Sea Cycle Path and has a small bike trail. There is a Kettcar rental for younger guests and a massage option for those looking for relaxation.
5. Miramar campsite, Fehmarn
Camping Miramar is located directly on a natural sandy beach 600 meters long and up to 20 meters wide on the south coast of Fehmarn. Here, holidaymakers can make themselves comfortable in more than 500 pitches in tents and mobile homes. There are no rental accommodations, but there is the option of renting a motorhome from an external provider.
Camping Miramar also offers more than just parking spaces and the beach: in addition to a fitness and entertainment program, there are various sports fields as well as a small sauna and a massage area. On the long sandy beach there is a surf and sailing-free swimming zone for all those who like to relax while swimming.
In addition to 239 separate pitches, some of which are located directly on the beach, and 23 rental accommodations, there are also 307 permanent campers. If you want, you can book a breakfast service.
