For the first time in 28 years, the next Cannes film festival will not be held in partnership with Canal +. We learned last December that the new media partners would be France Télévisions and Brut. We now know a little more about what these two media are planning between next May 17 and 28.

It’s a big change that is becoming more and more concrete. Canal + will no longer be the media partner of the Cannes Film Festival, as it has been for 28 years. In mid-December, we learned that the festival had chosen the France Télévisions group and the online media Brut to regain this status, which notably gives access to the rights to the opening ceremony and the prize list. The next edition of the international film festival will be held this year from May 17 to 28. And we now know a little more about what these two media provide.

Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, Augustin Trapenard and Laurent Delahousse on the Croisette

Our colleagues from the newspaper The Parisian
thus announce that the second part of the magazine C to you should be relocated directly from the Croisette. A device that will remind viewers of the heyday of Michel Denisot’s Grand Journal, on Canal +. But this will not be the only France Televisions program to move for the Cannes Film Festival. The 20 hours news from France 2 presented by Laurent Delahousse will also be packing for Cannes.

For its part, the online media Brut is counting on Augustin Trapenard to cover the event. The journalist, who once presented the cinema program The circle on Canal +, has been collaborating since last May with Gross X
, the online media streaming platform.
