Canon announces two new multifunction printers for back to school

Canon announces two new references of 3-in-1 multifunction color printers (printer, scanner and copier), which will join its range in October 2023. The Pixma TS7650i and TS7750i are aimed at the general public and present themselves as fairly good models equipped.

They benefit from a double paper input: a rear tray with a capacity of 100 sheets, or 20 sheets of photo paper, and a front cassette of 100 sheets. They are also equipped with a 6.7 cm (2.7″) color LCD touch screen with a customizable interface, surrounded by a few buttons to access the main functions. They include wifi and direct wifi connectivity and are compatible with different printing services, such as Mopria for Android or AirPrint for the Apple ecosystem.

Both models are rated for print speeds of up to approximately 15 pages per minute (ppm) in monochrome and 10 ppm in color. The only difference between these two references is the presence of an automatic document feeder with a capacity of 35 sheets on the Pixma TS7750i.

Dual cartridge printers

They use only two cartridges: the PG-585/PG-585XL (black) and CL-586/CL-586XL (color). This requires changing the three-color cartridge if one of them runs out, unlike printers with separate cartridges. Note that the Pixma TS7650i and TS7750i are compatible with the Pixma Print Plan ink subscription service, which can be interesting for users who have a fairly regular print volume. For others, ink tank printers such as the Canon Pixma MegaTank, Epson EcoTank and HP Smart Tank can also lower the cost of printing.

The prices of the new Canon Pixma TS7650i and TS7750i are not yet announced.
