The Monster Hunter series has become a little goose for Capcom since the explosion in popularity post Monster Hunter World. To reach a new audience, the Japanese firm will work with a famous Chinese publisher to bring its license to mobiles.
Monster Hunter Mobile
Capcom and TiMi Studio Group will therefore join forces to develop a Monster Hunter mobile game. Like other video game players before them, Capcom is therefore moving towards specialists in the mobile market who have already proven themselves.
TiMi Studio Group is for example responsible for the recent free to play game Pokemon Unite or Call of Duty Mobile. We don’t know anything else about this future project except for a few statements via the press release:
“This first partnership between TiMi and Capcom will combine the experience and strengths of both parties, allowing Monster Hunter to adapt to more platforms with the goal of giving hunters around the world, experienced or new, the freedom to hunt as they wish, anytime and anywhere.”
With a mobile market (and especially an Asian market) quite juicy, we understand that such a lucrative license finds its way to these platforms. In any case, we should have more information soon. In the meantime, Capcom will continue to supply Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak in content, at least until the end of 2023.
