Capcom: desires for redemption or to be purchased?

During the big leak internal documents Microsoftwe learned that the manufacturer had two studios in its crosshairs for potential acquisitions: Warner Bros. Games And Bethesda. The first not being the owner of its strong licenses, Microsoft fell back on the second, but he also had other candidates in mind.

Microsoft had in fact a list with more than 45 studios that would be interesting for him to buy, including Capcomdevelopers of Street Fighter, resident Evil, Mega Man, Devil May Cry and others Monster Hunter. Haruhiro Tsujimoto, COO from the Japanese studio, recently spoke with Bloomberg in particular to raise the possibility of being bought out.

No question for Capcom to be redeemed, and if Microsoft officially approached him, the studio would “gracefully decline” his offer, preferring to remain independent. Haruhiro Tsujimoto says it would be better, for Capcom as for Microsoft, if they were “equal partners”. Moreover, the Japanese studio is also not interested in buying other studios to expand its rankspreferring “organic growth” internally.

The message is clear, Capcom remains independent and does not intend to pay for other studios. The Japanese publisher and developer is in a very comfortable position anyway, with games that are a hit, like the remake of Resident Evil 4 which you can find from €44.99 on Amazon, Cdiscount or to there Fnac.
