(CercleFinance.com) – Capgemini and Eneco have announced their commitment to reduce Eneco’s CO2 emissions by one megaton through joint initiatives on Tiers 1, 2 and 3 by 2030.

Eneco is a European group of companies operating in the field of renewable energy and innovation, trading and energy supply.

The 10-year contract signed between Capgemini and Eneco will accelerate Eneco’s transition to sustainable energy and achieve its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2035.

The two companies will examine the impact of engineering, data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital technologies and platforms, on the reduction of CO2 emissions. This is expected to contribute around 17% to Eneco’s 2030 carbon emissions reduction target.
