Capital Bra: “My wife got her dream wedding”

Capital Bra is back with good news: Not only is he newly married and soon to be a father of four, a tour is also coming up soon.

Capital Bra (28) is not only Germany’s most successful rapper, the 28-year-old has also recently become a husband and soon a father of four. “My wife got the wedding of her dreams that she had wanted since she was a child,” reveals the artist in an interview. The couple, who have been together since they were teenagers, is expecting their fourth child soon: a daughter.

But Capital Bra is also getting off to a good start professionally. After the surprising cancellation of the tour at the beginning of April, he is currently preparing a new one. “I want to celebrate my birthday on stage this November,” the rapper explains. And his second mainstay is also flourishing. His “Gangstarella” pizza got two new varieties this year, his iced tea has an incredible turnover of 120 million euros and in cooperation with the start-up Cleangang he is now launching “bling by Capital Bra” – cleaning products for sneakers. He recently stood in front of the camera in Berlin for their campaign entitled “Bring the bling on your sneakers”. No wonder the rapper has “no free time”…

Congratulations on the wedding, how was the celebration?

Capital Bra: It was nice. When the vows were read, I stood there a little concretely… But it was beautiful! My wife got her dream wedding like she wanted since childhood.

And a child is also on the way?

Capital Bra: Yes, my fourth! My daughter is coming, inshallah healthy.

Did you ever think you’d be a father of four?

Capital Bra: No, never! I’m still a bit of a kid myself. But you also get older and more experienced. With one child, with two, with three… I now know how to raise children.

Do you spend a lot of time with your children?

Capital Bra: I’m trying! I have to prepare for a lot of things, the new tour is coming, I’m shooting video clips and a thousand other things. But when I have time, I’m often at home.

Your tour planned for May was surprisingly canceled just a month before. What was happening?

Capital Bra: Brother, I don’t want to badmouth anyone and I don’t want to say anything about it either. My fans know I would do anything to be on stage. I also want to see my fans again, give them something back. But I had a management change and it was all a bit more difficult than I thought. Now I’ve clarified everything and now there’s a tour coming up, for which I’m currently preparing very, very well. This tour will then be around my birthday. I want to celebrate my birthday on stage this year.

So despite the canceled tour there is no time to catch your breath?

Capital Bra: I have no free time! After this interview I have to go to the next video production. i kiss your heart

Are there any other new projects?

Capital Bra: We’re at the start all the time. I’ve now signed the artist Pano, that’s a boy from my area. It’s a breaker, really. Not because I signed him, the boy raps so badly, you should definitely give it a try. If you don’t celebrate, you don’t celebrate, but what he does is intense.

You once said, “Music is like therapy for me”…

Capital Bra: It’s still like therapy! If I experience something or do something, I have to process it like this. There is no other way. I can’t sit with people and talk about, “Hey, this happened to me…” or “that sucks”. Put me a beat, I’ll let that out and then it’s gone.

Do you also make music with your children?

Capital Bra: No, not at all. But my children listen to my music. I caught my youngest son, he’s six, standing in front of the mirror and rapping my songs.

Four years ago you said you would like to make music with Helene Fischer. How is the status?

Capital Bra: That didn’t work, my dear brother. Maybe later, when she’s in the mood. I’m not for everyone either, you know what I mean? Some people might see me in public and think I’m a bad man or I just don’t fit in with them. I accept everything!

Is there anyone else you would like to make music with?

Capital Bra: I like making music with good musicians. Eminem would be awesome! Eminem has a great story about music. He also comes from battle rap and so do I somehow. That would be awesome, of course it’s on a different level. We’re playing “Mensch ärgere dich nicht”, he’s playing “Monopoly”.

In addition to music, you have built a second mainstay with products such as your own pizza. How do you explain the success that so many people buy your products?

Capital Bra: How am I supposed to explain that? Brother, I like doing this. Everything that I do with heart and where I stand behind it, I like to do it. And people see that. For example my new Sneaker Cleaner products with Cleangang. We sat there for a long time. It’s not like I just said, “Okay, let’s do this.” I want to know what that looks like, I’m arguing with the team all the time about colors, designs, campaign. So that in the end I can put my face behind it and say: “This is my product, I really put my effort into it.”

How many sneakers do you have at home that you need to clean?

Capital Bra: The ones I have to clean, not many. I always clean the ones I wear the day before and they’re bling the next day. I definitely clean myself. I have two healthy hands, thank God, I can work with them.

How important are clean shoes to you?

Capital Bra: My mom once told me that a person’s shoes tell you what kind of person they are. You know how he takes care, how he’s groomed. That’s why I try to wear clean shoes, but if there’s a puddle I don’t drive home to change. Then I just walk around with dirty shoes all day. But of course I keep them clean when I can. My mom told me that when I was little and it burned into my head. Don’t you know that? If Mama says something… You have to listen.

Would you describe yourself as a sneakerhead?

Capital Bra: Brother, I just have great shoes that I like. I’m not a collector or anything. I have a lot left over from video shoots. I only wear most of them once and then they stay put. But then at some point you find the things again and think to yourself: “Jackpot, they’re still fresh.”

Many musicians are also enjoying great success on TV. Have you ever thought about a jury post in a talent show?

Capital Bra: “DSDS” asked me once. But brother, I can’t do this. I can’t tell someone they can’t sing. Who am I to decide something like this. I’m not a singing teacher or whatever. And then you ruin his dream just because a capital said, “You can’t sing.” That’s not cool, you don’t do that.
