Captain America and Captain Marvel as a zombie? It is in this Marvel series that will finally see the light of day!

Your favorite superheroes will be back in the form of zombies in this Marvel series planned for Disney+ and which we haven’t heard from for 2 years.

In 2021, Kevin Feige (the big boss) announced the start of Marvel Zombies, an animated series which sees a new group of superheroes try to stop a zombie invasion. In these comic books launched in 2005, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch and the Winter Soldier were transformed into the living dead.

While we thought the project was buried, it’s Iman Vellani aka Miss Marvel herself, who gives us the latest news. In an interview given to The Directthe young woman – who is currently starring in The Marvels – revealed that her character was going to play a central role in Marvel Zombies and that she was going to lend her voice.

“We have already put everything in the box. That was too cool. There are so many great characters in it. Kamala is somewhat the center of the series. They told me she was a bit like Frodo!”

In Marvel Zombies, Miss Marvel joins forces with other Marvel superheroes of the new generation, such as Yelena Belova, Shang-Chi and Kate Bishop, all characters that we have already seen in the MCU and on Disney+.

Designed as a spin-off of What If, the animated series which takes place in alternative universes, Marvel Zombies will also be played on another version of our Earth. Only 4 episodes have been ordered at the moment, making it one of the House of Ideas’ shortest productions for Disney+.

Already classified as TV-MA by the platform – because it probably contains graphic violence, foul language, etc. – it will only be aimed at an adult audience.
