The countdown is on for Carelide. It remains until January 13 to the northern manufacturer of medical devices, in receivership since November, to find a buyer. The hearing at the Lille Commercial Court has been set for January 25.

It is the last French producer of infusion bags (anti-inflammatories, paracetamol, antibiotics) which is now threatened with extinction. A company that had been in the spotlight during the Covid, its products used to treat patients on drips. On a visit to the site, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, who at the time was Deputy Minister in charge of Industry, had granted it in the name of the “health sovereignty» an aid of 5 million euros (out of a program of 12 million euros of investment in total) in order to contribute to the increase of its production capacities and the automation of certain processes.
