“The good figures in many areas last year are very encouraging, but they also mean that some developments this year will appear even more dramatic,” explains State Governor Peter Kaiser at the presentation of the Statistical Yearbook 2022. “This is particularly true for economic growth and the Unemployment.” While Carinthia’s economy grew by 7.3 percent after adjusting for inflation, the number of unemployed people fell by 18.9 percent. “The unemployment rate of 7.1 percent is the lowest value that has ever been achieved in Carinthia,” explains Kaiser proudly.
