Carla Bruni, Matt Pokora, Iris Mittenaere… The stars gathered in Abidjan for a good cause

The Children of Africa foundation was created in 1998 by the wife of the President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Dominique Ouattara. Its aim is to help the most deprived, particularly women and children: for more than twenty-five years, it has been fighting against child labor, and for access to medical care, the empowerment of women and assistance to victims of violence. This Friday, March 1, many French stars responded to the First Lady’s call for the association’s 9th gala dinner: the very elegant Carla Bruni, Matt Pokorawho came without his wife, Iris Mittenaere, Sylvie TellierGims, Dadju, Kamel Ouali, Mareva Galanter, Adriana Karembeu, Stomy Bugsy, Flora Coquerel

The donations collected for the association, particularly during this annual gala, have already made it possible to finance numerous structuressuch as schools, reception centers for women victims of violence and child victims of exploitation, but also vaccination campaigns, distribution of school kits, bookmobiles… This year, the objective was to add a new wing at the Bingerville Mother-Child Hospital, which will specialize in pediatric cardiac surgery. The stars gladly came to lend their support, as many of them do every year, while promoting the event on their social networkslike Iris Mittenaere or the supposed enemy of Élodie Gossuin.

The tasty gala dinner, concocted by the multi-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire and Ivorian chef Vanessa Konan, delighted the guestswho were also able to attend a show entitled Legends of Africadirected by Alain Weber and the Ivorian choreographer Jean Paul Mehansio.
