It’s no secret that Carmen and Robert Geiss live in absolute luxury. They are only too happy to show this on their TV show. Now they seem to be topping everything before. Because as they revealed in an interview, they own a house that they actually only use for Christmas!

Dubai, St. Tropez or a small village in the French Maritime Alps – Carmen, 58, and Robert Geiss, 59, jet around the world, have pitched their luxury tents here and there. In summer on the Riviera, in winter it has to be snow and cold. But only for one week – Christmas week, to be exact. The Geissens actually have a house that they only use at Christmas. And of course there is no lack of luxury here either.

Carmen and Robert Geiss also reside royally at Christmas

A house just for Christmas? Only the Geissens can do that! “The great thing about our house in Valberg is that we only come every week for Christmas. I never take down the Christmas tree. It’s been there for five years – or six,” says Carmen with a laugh on her face and Robert confirms to “Bunte” : “Exactly, this is the Geissens’ Christmas house.”

Although they only use the property about seven days a year, it is devoid of any luxury. The chalet has six rooms, spread over a total of 320 square meters. The wooden house has a sun terrace, a sauna, a wine cellar and a ski room that provides direct access to the slopes. The Geissens can call a total of 1,150 square meters their own.

The luxury property in the French Alps does have one drawback: there is no staff.

This means that Carmen and Robert actually have to stand at the stove, clean and tidy up during their Christmas holidays. Even though they otherwise like to outsource all household tasks, they enjoy working together in the kitchen at Christmas: “It’s important to us that the children are with us on Christmas Eve and then we cook all week – that’s actually how it is our tradition.”
