“Carnage”, “catastrophe”: Eric Zemmour’s activists demoralized after his debate against Valérie Pécresse

Thursday March 10, 2022, Eric Zemmour and Valérie Pécresse clashed in a televised debate. After the event, many activists of the Reconquest party candidate shared their disappointment.

The debate between Eric Zemmour and Valérie Pécresse was highly anticipated by their supporters. Thursday March 10, 2022, the two presidential candidates clashed for an hour and a half in a broadcast debate on TF1 and LCI. During this event, they addressed topics such as the war in Ukraine, immigration and economic reforms. However, the debate quickly turned into a confrontation between the candidate of the Republicans and that of the Reconquest party.

After the television broadcast, Eric Zemmour’s activists shared their disappointment in a twitter space called “Debrief Zemmour/Megère“. Some excerpts of their conversation were later made public by the staff of Valérie Pécresse. And if some expressed their frustration or tried to put things into perspective, many said they were disappointed. For example, you can hear:I had a moment of depression“, “It was carnage“, “But what happened? It is a disaster” or “But wait, what is he talking about? It’s gone in peanuts“.

Eric Zemmour’s activists expected Valérie Pécresse to collapse.

Before the debate, the militants of Eric Zemmour had nevertheless declared themselves very confident for the debate against Valérie Pécresse. They also expected that the latter don’t keep up and collapses. They explained: “Everyone thought she was going to leave on a stretcher“, “We expected Valérie Pécresse to be crushed” Where “People almost expected to see her leave the set crying“.

Finally, it is above all the attitude of Eric Zemmour which disappointed its militants. Many have deplored the fact that the journalist and politician stops in “right in the middle, leaving empty sentences“, in particular on the issue of immigration. A disappointment which will however be quickly forgotten by its activists, who have great hope for the future.
