Carole Bouquet: this overwhelming reason why she went to see a shrink: Current Woman The MAG

It is still a taboo subject: while the Covid-19 pandemic is increasingly shaking up the French in the offices of psychologists, the two directors Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, they decided to make a series of it. Indeed, since January 28, 2021 on Arte.tv, viewers can experience the first season of the series In Therapy, in which Reda Kateb, Mélanie Thierry, Pio Marmaï or even Carole Bouquet confide in a fictitious way to a psychologist about the impact of the attacks of November 13, 2015 on their lives.

The one who was indignant at her son's reaction to the Duhamel / Kouchner affair plays the role of the psychologist of the shrink. And for the ex-wife of Jacques Leibowitch, this choice owes nothing to chance … Indeed, the actress of sixty-three years, who assumes to speak frequently to the trees, has behind it a long journey of psychoanalysis. As she confides in the magazine IT, Dimitri Rassam's mother wanted to be followed by a shrink from the age of thirty.

"All of a sudden, I had nightmares"

As she explains with great humility, visiting a psychologist has not always sounded obvious: "It had never crossed my mind before my thirties," she explains. Beyond "neurological suffering linked to a fall" that she evokes briefly, it is above all to exteriorize what was presented before her eyes that she took the plunge: "When all of a sudden I had nightmares. I was starting to get very involved in The Voice of the Child (association that acts to listen to and defend children, editor's note). What I heard was so violent", she specifies. So she decides to ask for help. Unfortunately, Carole Bouquet does not receive the expected listening: "Sometimes we stay out of politeness, out of shyness. But as soon as you sit down, lay down, again, you know right away if you're going to be okay!"

On this subject, Carole Bouquet met a list of psychologists of all kinds. Including those who were content to punctuate his words in a disagreeable way: "This drought, which was almost in fashion at one time, embodied by some (…) I ran into it, and I felt very lonely." Until this meeting which marked his life: "François Roustang, I did not want to disturb him, I almost broke into his life, his office, shortly before he died", says Carole Bouquet. However, she concedes it with humor, the psychologist "has done nothing" Special : "The listening and the benevolence were such, I did not have any more pain", she confided. A long journey of introspection that she transcribes wonderfully in the series Arte, which she also considers a kind of therapy. The loop is "Bouquet"!
