Caroline Vigneaux is one of the women who is not afraid to take risks. In any case, this is what she confided on a daily basis The Parisian in the edition of this Monday January 29. For the new show she put on, In Vigneaux Veritas, the pretty blonde tackles sensitive subjects, such as sexual assault or the rape she suffered when she was younger. Not that Caroline Vigneaux is no longer afraid of anything, but she no longer wants to hide: “I am at a moment where I no longer have any filter, I no longer impose anything on myself” she says.

Putting on a show is not easy. Moreover, the 49-year-old comedian has bet everything on self-production. This is how she got opened the doors of the Édouard VII theater : “My first decision as a producer was the choice of venue. I chose where I had always been told I could never go, because it was too big… No one could say no. On the other hand, it’s me who takes the risks.”

And by risk, Caroline Vigneaux did not do things by halves. As she so clearly indicated during the interview, it is a piece of real estate that is in danger if everything does not go as planned: “I took out a loan and pledged the house I bought in the Alpilles. At some point if you’re not betting on yourself, why are you asking someone else to do it?“At present, there is little chance that the matter will go badly: “There, it’s off to a good start, we’re going to extend it, so I shouldn’t lose my house. But I didn’t put my children’s lives on the line either. It was a calculated risk to achieve this dream.

Hard blows already experienced

Caroline Vigneaux has tough skin. Because there have been bad times in his life. Now divorced from the father of her two boys, Caroline Vigneaux, apparently still single, almost got married before him. But ultimately, the long-awaited party will never take place: “I was supposed to marry a boy, and he left me to marry someone else. It was horrible, but in the end it was a blessing.”

Another hard blow was the burnout she experienced just before confinement. As a very active woman, Caroline Vigneaux has let professional projects take over the balance of her life. The confinement put in place in the midst of a health crisis was therefore a saving grace for her: “I was on the verge of burnout. I worked so hard. I’ve been on the road for 10 years and haven’t stopped. Being off work for a month is something I haven’t experienced in 10 years. I’ve never taken so much vacation. There is no guilt.” In addition to saving her, this break from heaven apparently made her even stronger and able to face anything!
