Carrefour is mobilizing in favor of the Telethon for the 16th consecutive year


(Boursier.com) — From November 28 to December 18, 2022, Crossroads renews its support for the AFM Téléthon through a series of in-store initiatives aimed at raising funds for research on genetic diseases. A historical partner since 2007, the brand is proud to participate in this traditional event, anchored in the lives of many French people, by mobilizing its stores and its employees.

Committed to the food transition for all, the Carrefour Foundation is supporting the AFM Téléthon this year through a financial sponsorship of 150,000 euros intended to help research on the role of food in stimulating muscle function. .

In addition, the brand is also setting up an offer of sharing products, part of the profits of which will be donated to collection:
-Up to 1.50 euro donated for the purchase of a bouquet of 10 roses, available in all the formats of the brand;
-1 euro for fine oysters from Claires Marennes Oléron IGP Carrefour Quality Line, sold in supermarkets;
-0.30 cents for the purchase of 30 chouquettes in Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets;
-0.30 cents for the purchase of a pure butter Nanterre brioche in Carrefour supermarkets.

At the local level, our stores are also mobilizing to support initiatives in the 4 towns that are ambassadors of the Telethon: Guebwiller, Dijon, Cassis, Lorient. The Lorient hypermarket thus supplied 100 kg of conger eel allowing the preparation of a Bouillabaisse Bretonne for 2,000 people.

Customers who wish to do so can participate in fundraising during their checkout by making a donation directly to the host or cashier.

Beyond fundraising, Carrefour also mobilizes its employees for this noble cause by inviting them to participate in solidarity actions to raise funds for the association. All of the Group’s headquarters (Massy, ​​Evry, Mondeville and Lyon Danic) organized sports challenges on 29 November.

Like the previous year, on Saturday December 3, 25 employees will take part in the Téléthon choir in prime time to sing L’Envy d’Aimer with the troupe Les Retrouvailles and Qui a le droit with Patrick Bruel. At the end of this sequence, Carine Kraus, Executive Director of Engagement, will speak on set to announce a financial donation to the AFM Téléthon on behalf of the Group.
