Carrefour: Net income Group share of 255 ME


(CercleFinance.com) – Revenue including tax increased by +5.4% on a comparable basis in the 1st half of 2022 to €43,317 million pre-IAS 29, an increase of +10.2% at constant exchange rates.

The increase was +7.3% on a comparable basis in the second quarter (+8.1% LFL in food, +2.9% LFL in non-food).

The Group’s Current Operating Income (COI) amounted to 814 ME in the 1st half of 2022, up +74 ME (+10.0%), or +1.6% at constant exchange rates. The operating margin came out at 2.1%, in line with that of the 1st half of 2021.

Net profit, Group share amounted to €255 million compared to €271 million in the 1st half of 2021. Adjusted net profit, Group share fell by -3.5% to €325 million compared to €337 million in the first half of 2021

The Group raises its cost savings target from 900 ME to 1.0 MdE for the 2022 financial year, i.e. 2.8 MdE over the period 2021-2023, confirms the level of investments (Capex) of 1.85 MdE for 2022 and its net free cash flow target above €1 billion for the 2022 financial year.
