Case in Linz – 25-year-old robbed by strangers in the tram

A 25-year-old was robbed by a stranger on Sunday night in a tram in Linz. At around 2 a.m., the man was on the tram from the Hauptplatz stop to Bürgerstraße in the direction of Solarcity. He was asked by a stranger to give him a few euros – otherwise he would beat him up. When the man said no, the perpetrator tore the wallet out of his hand and got off at the Bürgerstrasse stop.

The previously unknown perpetrator ran away in the direction of the main square. Witnesses present confirmed the incident. The perpetrator is said to be around 20 years old and presumably of Arab origin. He had black hair, wore a gray jacket, gray trousers and black shirt, and a strikingly thick necklace in gold or silver.

The police asks for information to the Inspection Bürgerstrasse at 059133 4592.
