Casey Hudson (Mass Effect) founds Humanoid Studios and recruits to design a new sci-fi AAA

Since his second departure from BioWare with Mark Darrah at the end of 2020, Casey Hudson, a name particularly known for his work on the original trilogy Mass Effect, was quite discreet. Good news, more than a year after disappearing from the radar, the developer resurfaced a few days ago through the new website from a studio he founded last year in Canada : Humanoid Studios.

A cross-platform AAA SF in the works

In addition to revealing this information, the site in question indicates that this young company, which also counts in its ranks Izaak Moody (ex-Microsoft and Illfonic) and Melanie Faulknor (ex-BioWare) as artistic director and Senior Producer, actively recruits in various fields in order to develop “a cross-platform, story-driven, character-driven AAA in an all-new sci-fi universe. »

While waiting to learn more about this project, which we shouldn’t hear from for quite a while since it seems to be in its infancy, note that Gematsu has relayed the four artworks visible on the Humanoid Studios site while specifying that nothing specifies that they are linked to this future production. To be continued.
