(CercleFinance.com) – Casino indicates that in accordance with the protocol of intentions concluded on January 24, Carrefour replaced the Groupement Les Mousquetaires for the acquisition of certain Casino hypermarkets and supermarkets initially to be acquired by the latter.
In this context, Casino and Carrefour have concluded agreements for the sale of 25 stores (and attached service stations) for the benefit of Carrefour, which has made social commitments similar to those of the Les Mousquetaires Group towards the affected employees.
The completion of the transfers would take place on April 30, after consultation with the staff representative bodies concerned. The transaction will also be subject to obtaining certain authorizations, including those from the competent competition authorities.
