(Boursier.com) — In accordance with the agreements concluded on January 24, 2024, with Auchan Retail France and the Groupement Les Mousquetaires, and on February 8, 2024 with Crossroads for the sale of a total of 287 stores, the group Casino announced on April 30 the sale of 121 stores.
The sales of the remaining 166 stores will take place in two stages, on May 31 and July 1.
This transaction is carried out on the basis of an enterprise value of the stores sold of 698 million euros.
It is recalled that the Groupement Les Mousquetaires, Auchan Retail France and Carrefour are committed to:
– take over all the employment contracts of the employees assigned to the transferred stores and service stations and;
– maintain, with regard to employees assigned to stores, the provisions and benefits resulting from the Casino collective status for a minimum period of 15 months from the date of completion of the transfer.
The Les Mousquetaires Group, Auchan Retail France and Carrefour have also committed to encouraging the candidacy of Casino group employees for available positions or to offering them the opportunity to become business manager of a store.
The Casino group “would like to thank all employees for their commitment to serving the Group throughout their careers and their contribution to making Casino a brand loved and recognized by customers”.
