2024 - CAST. Bardot: the next series of France 2 on BB is looking for its extras

In a few weeks, the filming of a series devoted to Brigitte Bardot will begin in Saint-Tropez. And France 2 is looking for several extras!

Do you live in Saint-Tropez and dream of filming in front of cameras? It’s possible ! For the needs of a future series dedicated to Brigitte Bardot, France 2 is looking for several extras, available in the region of the Var city in April 2022. For this production signed Danielle Thompson, they are looking for three profiles: first that of a young girl between 12 and 14 years old residing in the PACA region, “blonde, very blue eyes, sparkling and fearless”then that of a “young woman between 18 and 21 living in the PACA region, blonde. very blue eyes, sunny, sparkling” and finally, that of a “22/28-year-old man from Poland or Eastern Europe, natural accent, living in the PACA region”.

Note that since this series takes place in the 1950s/1960s, you don’t need “bangs, no braces, dental braces or too modern haircuts”. As Closer revealed a few weeks ago, France Télévisions has decided to honor the cinema icon in a series, which will be produced by Danièle Thompson but also by her son, Christopher Thompson, also an actor and screenwriter. Var-Morning added that the first season of Bardot will consist of six 52-minute episodes. “It’s not a classic biopic, but the youth of Brigitte Bardot, between 1949 and 1960”, revealed Christophe Thompson.

“It will be above all a story of young people in this post-war France which goes from black to white, he continued. The France of the 1950s which is changing and going through difficult times in its history, particularly the Algerian War. With his mother, they will each shoot three episodes of this series. As for the casting, it is still mysterious. Because if the interpreter of Brigitte Bardot has indeed been chosen, no one wants to reveal his identity for the moment. On the other hand, three actors are already known: Victor Belmondo, Yvan Attal and Jules Benchetrit, who will play the role of Sami Frey. Filming is due to wrap in early May, and France 2 has yet to announce Bardot’s broadcast date.
