Caterpillar: appointment of an operations director

(CercleFinance.com) – Caterpillar announced Monday the appointment of Joseph Creed, the head of its equipment branch for the energy production and logistics sectors, to the newly created position of director of operations.

Creed, who joined Caterpillar in 1997, continued to climb the ranks within the American group, eventually taking over, in 2013, as financial director of the division dedicated to energy and transport equipment.

He also briefly served as interim CFO of the construction equipment manufacturer in 2018.

Caterpillar had already announced on Friday the appointment of George Moubayed, another in-house executive, to the position of director of sustainable development and strategy, effective January 1, 2024, replacing Lou Balmer-Millar who plans to leave the company after 20 years of good and loyal service.
