Catherine and Liliane back? Bruno Sanches says it all

They made the heyday of Canal + from 2012 to 2019. Three years ago, Catherine and Liliane hung up the apron after seven years of good and loyal service in Le Petit Journal. The infernal duo was interpreted by the actors Bruno Sanches and Alex Lutz, disguised as women. Will fans ever see them reform? Bruno Sanches lifted the veil on a possible return in an interview with Télépro this Tuesday, April 26. “There is no chance that they will come back”said the comedian, unequivocally. Bruno Sanches explains that a lead to make a film had been exploited at some point, but the tandem had finally refused. And this despite the tidy sum offered. He believes that they had “nothing more to say”. “If there had to be something, we would have done it already”he outbid.

Alex Lutz and he had an idea for an adventure movie. “If it’s to shoot our feet… If we don’t have the right idea, we’re not going to get shot by money. I think that Catherine and Liliane, you put it in anything, that works.” He concludes : “Often when we adapt something to the cinema, we are a little disappointed.” Bruno Sanches explains that making up and getting into the skin of a character is a very painstaking but also tiring process: “We wore them with pleasure, but physically they are exhausting.” the era Catherine and Liliane is finished !

New projects for Bruno Sanches

For the end of the program in 2019, Alex Lutz and Bruno Sanches had everything planned. “We will broadcast a best-of at Bobino on a big screen, which will be interspersed with interventions by Bruno and me. We will reinvent sketches played at the Salle Pleyel”, had explained Alex Lutz at the time. Exit through the front door!
