This sight makes royal fans ecstatic: Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, publish a previously unseen photo of Kate as a child. What is particularly striking is the striking resemblance to one of her own offspring.

The British royals are once again using the run-up to Christmas to draw attention to important issues and charitable causes. Prince William, 41, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 41, are now doing this in a very special way.

Cute snapshot shows Catherine, Princess of Wales, as a child

On their official X account (formerly Twitter), the Waleses publish a photo that shows Kate at the tender age of just under two years old. She is probably sitting at the set table in her parents’ house in Berkshire in a dress with a white collar and red buttons and a dark blue cardigan. In front of her there is a small angel pyramid with four burning candles, in the background a garland of pine branches and lights can be seen. But one detail in particular catches the eye: little Kate looks incredibly similar to her youngest offspring, Prince Louis, 5.

Fans of the royal family are enthusiastic about her tweet and leave numerous comments below. “OMG, what a beautiful photo of baby Catherine. Louis is her twin. What a lovely surprise! Thank you for sharing this with us,” says one user happily. “Adorable! Louis looks a lot like her,” says another. Another writes: “Prince Louis looks like his mom.”

Prince William and Kate are committed to a project close to their hearts

With this cute snapshot taken at Christmas 1983, William and Kate draw attention to one of their heartfelt projects. “We’re sharing some festive memories this Christmas as #ShapingUs is about the crucial importance of our early years and the role those around us play in the rest of our lives,” they wrote.
