A dark cloud has been hanging over the marriage of Mats and Cathy Hummels for a few months, and the couple has had to read rumors of crisis about their marriage again and again. Nevertheless, Cathy is now celebrating her seventh wedding anniversary on Instagram – with cryptic lines.
On June 15, 2015, Mats, 33, and Cathy Hummels, 34, said yes, three years later their son Ludwig, 4, was born. A lot has happened since then, and there are always rumors of separation. Especially lately, Mats Hummels has made headlines with his love life. So far, Cathy has not wanted to comment directly on her husband’s behavior, but indirectly she repeatedly makes ambiguous comments on Instagram. So now, on their seventh wedding anniversary.

“The darn 7th year … in loving memory of 15.6.15 – In this picture you can see my greatest love L. [sic]”, the entrepreneur writes about three photos in which she and Mats pose with their son. The couple laughs happily into the camera while the four-year-old enjoys plastering his ice cream. The 34-year-old also uses the hashtag “everythinginlifehappensforareason [z.dt.: Alles im Leben geschieht aus einem bestimmten Grund]. What exactly Cathy means with her comment – unclear.
“Mats is Ludwig’s wonderful dad”
What is certain, however, is that Cathy and Mats Hummels stick together for their son, despite constant rumors of crisis, and share it with the public again and again. “Most of you know him. The footballer. On the other hand, very few of the private Mats. I’ve known him quite well and for a very long time. 15 years. Mats is Ludwig’s wonderful dad and even if our family life is very special and different , we always have the most beautiful thing in common in the world: the most valuable person, namely Ludwig. We even always agree about him [sic]”Cathy made it clear on Father’s Day via Instagram and emphasized again: “We do everything possible to make him happy and have a nice, carefree life [sic].”
