There are always rumors of a crisis about Cathy and Mats Hummels. Now the presenter has posted a photo with her husband and son Ludwig – including clear words that still leave room for speculation.
It’s not the first time that Cathy Hummels, 33, has drawn attention to herself with a cryptic post. The rumors of the crisis surrounding her and Mats Hummels, 32, just don’t want to die down. The presenter is not deterred by this, however, and posts another family picture with Mats and son Ludwig, 3. But this time too, Cathy chooses words that could raise question marks.

The entrepreneur and the professional soccer player laugh happily into the camera. Both are wrapped up thickly and are having a good time at the Christmas market. You could almost have overlooked little son Ludwig, who buries his face between mom and dad, when she was beaming.
Cathy writes about the family picture: “Papi, Mami & Ludi. What do I want to say with this picture, many of you are probably wondering”. With this sentence, Cathy Hummels is probably alluding to the recurring questions about their marriage that users leave at regular intervals in the comment columns of their Instagram pictures.
“Actually only that we had a good time at the Christmas market and that we sticked together,” continues Hummels and adds the hashtags “nomatterwhat” (German: “no matter what”) and “family”. It is a clear message for Cathys and Mats’ family cohesion – probably even in difficult times.
Cathy’s followers have mixed opinions
With this post, Cathy rekindles speculation among some of her 650,000 followers. One user is probably not that convinced of the post and writes: “the rumor mill […] crank “. Another replies:” Do you always have to want to say something special with a picture? You are a happy family. Sufficient headline. The majority, however, are happy about the photo and share a number of red hearts.

Mats Hummels – who plays in Dortmund while Cathy lives in Munich – also shared the recording on his Instagram account. It is the first photo together with Cathy and son Ludwig since July 2020. The footballer writes: “The king (professional and in the middle of the photo) with mom and dad at the Christmas market”.
