Celebrity Big Brother and Co .: These reality TV shows run in the summer

This summer, the TV program has an extra portion of trash formats to offer. The audience can look forward to these shows.

If the mild summer evening is missed more often this year, TV viewers can also make themselves comfortable in front of the TV – especially trash fans get their money's worth. These shows have already positioned themselves.

"Daughter-in-law sought"

Five bachelors who are looking for a partner with their mother: The concept of "daughter-in-law wanted" will not change in 2020. The 13th season of the RTL show will be broadcast for the first time this summer in prime time. Previously, presenter Vera Int-Veen (52) led the program on Sunday in the evening program, now the new five episodes will be shown on Tuesdays at 8:15 p.m. from July 14th.

"Battle of Reality Stars"

RTLzwei will start this summer with a new trash show: From July 22, 2020 (8:15 p.m.) "Combat of Reality Stars – Shipwreck on Dream Beach" will be broadcast. As a presenter, influencer Cathy Hummels (32) will lead through the eight episodes in which celebrities have to face numerous challenges under the Thai sun. In the end, the winner will be awarded 50,000 euros and the title "Reality Star of the Year 2020". New episodes are added to each episode, while existing candidates can be selected.

The first episode starts with: ex- "Bachelor" Oliver Sanne, all-time Hubert Fella, singer Annemarie Eilfeld, ex- "DSDS" star Momo, princess Andrea von Sayn-Wittgenstein, it-girl Kate Merlan, "Big Brother "Legend Jürgen Milski, ex-jungle camp candidate Georgina Fleur and ex-" Berlin – Day & Night "star Sandy Fähse," Prince Charming "candidate Sam Dylan and the tennis twins Tayisiya and Yana Morderger.

"Celebrity Big Brother"

On August 7th (8:15 p.m.) the Sat.1 evening will again be under the motto "Big Brother is watching you". More or less prominent residents move into the "Celebrity Big Brother" living container and can be monitored around the clock. The station presents the result live on TV every evening. Jochen Schropp (41, since 2014) and Marlene Lufen (49, since 2018) are leading the shows again – this year for three instead of two weeks. The celebrities have to stay in a confined space for a week longer. Ballermann singer Lorenz Büffel (41, "Johnny Däpp"), actress Jasmin Tawil (37), the ex-"Bachelorette" from Switzerland, Adela Smajic (27), and comedian Udo Bönstrup (24) . Soap actress Janine Pink (33) prevailed last year.

"Like Me – I'm Famous"

Another new face among the trash formats is "Like Me – I'm Famous", in which the candidates are supposed to give each other sympathy points and stay together in a villa equipped with cameras. The candidate field consists of a befitting mix of trash experienced celebrities, among them the ex-jungle camp participants Sarah Knappik, Melanie Müller and "lawyer of the poor" Helena "Höllena" Fürst. Add to that the "Bachelor in Paradise" candidates Aurelio Savina and Filip Pavlovic, the models Dijana Cvijetic and Yasin Cilingir, known for "Love Island", pop star Juana Princess, "King of Lloret" Don Francis and series actor Alexander Molz ( "Cologne 50667"). The show is scheduled to start on TVNow in August and later make the jump to free TV.

"The summer house of the stars"

This year fans have to wait a little longer for "The Summer House of Stars". If the RTL show was broadcast last year in July, the 2020 show will only return in September, as confirmed by the broadcaster of the news agency spot on news. In the popular trash format, celebrity couples move into a simply furnished house, filmed this year in a farm in Bocholt-Barlo, and have to compete against each other in challenges. The show, which usually leads to heated arguments between the participating couples, caused a stir this year before it was broadcast. Georgina Fleur (30) and her fiance Kubilay "Kubi" Özdemir (41) have already left the show production after three days.

"Laura and the Wendler – Now Getting Married" and "Just Tattoo of Us"

Another important date for all reality TV fans: the Wendler wedding. Officially, singers Michael Wendler (48) and Laura Müller (19) have been men and women since June 19. On August 2, the two of them want to say yes in church in the presence of TV cameras in Las Vegas. As part of the program "Laura and the Wendler – Now is getting married", the stations RTL, VOX and TVNOW, the church wedding is documented live.

The two popular trash TV stars Mike Heiter and Elena Miras will get their own new TVNow series this summer – starting on August 3rd. In the six-part reality show "Just Tattoo Of Us", candidates choose a tattoo for a person close to them, the other person has no say. Nevertheless, the tattoo should be carefully considered, because the candidate gets one of them immortalized by this person.

What happens to the dome shows?

The popular entertainment formats also include the dome shows. The nude dating show "Adam sucht Eva" is to be broadcast this summer. The sixth season of the reality format will be shown on RTLzwei in 2020. The dome show "Love Island" is also returning: "We are continuing to work with ITV Studios on preparations for the new episodes in late summer," confirmed Martin Blickhan, Head of Program Communication at RTLzwei, at the beginning of May at the request of the news agency spot on news. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the production of "The Bachelorette" continues. In an interview with "DWDL", RTL boss Jörg Graf said, however, that the show "will not be shown on RTL in summer, but later". The spin-off show "Bachelor in Paradise", on the other hand, is suspended this year.
