It’s already 6 years since the platform game Celeste became a real phenomenon. And to properly celebrate its anniversary, Extremely OK Games has decided to offer a Nintendo 64-style spin-off, Celeste 64: Fragments of the Mountain.
Created by the original team in just over a week, the spin-off is available for free on PC and is playable via Maddy Makes Games’ itch.io page. A version for Mac is also under development.
Players will also be pleased to know that composer Lena Raine has also composed a new soundtrack which can be listened to on Bandcamp.
On the program for this little 3D strawberry candy, demanding platform phases and secrets to unearth. Be careful, however, if you want to try your hand at Celeste 64: Fragments of the Mountain since many bugs make the game quite unstable at the moment. The studio is currently working to resolve all technical issues.
Enough to have a pleasant time and above all wait until the release of the studio’s new project, Earthblade.
