The current Vaduz coach confirms in an interview that he will most likely go to FC Luzern.

The contract has not yet been signed, but Mario Frick’s move from Vaduz to Lucerne seems to be a done deal. “FC Luzern wants me and I want to FC Luzern,” said the trainer after the top Challenge League match between Winterthur and Vaduz in relation to SRF Sport. “I assume that I will be the Lucerne coach from January 3rd,” the 47-year-old said unequivocally.

Frick has been on the sidelines at Vaduz since 2018. He has already informed his team of his decision. «It was an emotional address. I had to pull myself together because I realized that this time is now finally over, ”said the former striker.

When will the confirmation follow?

Lucerne President Stefan Wolf did not want to look into his cards on Saturday evening with regard to the search for a coach and merely said that Frick was one of several exciting candidates. The FCL is on the relegation zone after a messed up first half of the season.
