Singer Celine Dion wrote a touching letter to her late husband, producer René Angélil, on the anniversary of his death.

The Canadian superstar Céline Dion (52, "My Heart Will Go On") wrote a touching letter to his late husband, the Canadian producer René Angélil (1942-2016), on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of his death and published it on Instagram. The singer posted a photo of herself and Angélil, which she shows holding hands with the sea in the background.

"René, it has been five years … There is not a day when we do not think of you," says the letter that Dion wrote in both French and English. "Now more than ever, we ask you to guide us, to protect us and to continue to watch over us. And we pray that you will let your love shine on the whole world, on all those who are going through incredibly difficult times at this moment "said the artist. "You are forever in our hearts and in our lives. We love you, Celine, René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy xx …", she concludes her post.

Céline Dion and René Angélil were married from 1994 until his death from cancer in 2016. The couple had three sons (born in 2001 and 2010, twins).
