Almost a beginner in the field of gaming headsets a few years ago, JBL has since built up a very good offer with its Quantum range. On the occasion of CES 2023, the giant is further expanding its offer and is aimed more at console owners.

On the one hand, the Quantum 910X (Xbox/PC version) and 910P (PlayStation/PC) are a console-compatible version of the high-end 910 Wireless model. On the other hand, the 360X and 360P establish themselves as a solid mid-range, again wireless.

Quantum 910X/910P: all the tech in console mode

Top of the range from the manufacturer, the 910X/910P takes up most of the 910 Wireless while being compatible, depending on the version, with the Xbox or Playstation universe. This model is a fairly massive wireless headset (USB dongle) with an all-plastic construction. But its strength lies above all in the various on-board technologies. Indeed, the headset has active noise reduction, 360° sound via its QuantumSPATIAL 360 technology with head movement monitoring (on PC and console). It also incorporates very large 50 mm transducers.

In addition to this operation via USB dongle, the 910X/P has a wired connection as well as a Bluetooth chip. The latter makes it possible to highlight its DualSource operation which quickly switches between sources, depending on the situation. Enough to take a phone call quickly, without having to disconnect the headset from its console.

The microphone is quite classic, folding and slightly flexible. Without being titanic, the autonomy is solid to say the least, announced at 37 hours in wireless. Available from March 2023, the Quantum 910X and Quantum 910P are announced at 299.95 euros.

Quantum 360X/360P: keeping the essentials

Less high-end, this model abandons the 360° representation of sound with head tracking for an “only” surround approach. Likewise, its transducers are more conventional, as they go to 40mm. The microphone used, probably a bit simpler technically, is a flexible and detachable model.

Still, for a price of 129.95 euros, we are still entitled to a wireless headset that retains the DualSource (Dongle and Bluetooth) and wired connection, and which allows separate adjustment of the game and chat volume.

Like its big brother, the 360X/360P will be available by March 2023. For both references, the X versions follow the color code (black and green) of the Xbox universe, and the P versions, the color code ( white and blue) from the Playstation universe.
