Champagne: confusion between friends in this summer comedy with Stéphane De Groodt and Elsa Zylberstein

In theaters on June 8, Champagne brings together a 5-star cast for a friend film that smells like summer and holidays!

Nicolas Vanier, specialist in family films with animals (Loup, Belle and Sébastien, Poly), is back in a completely different register, the film of friends!

In Champagne, in theaters on June 8, we find Jean, Patrick, Joanna, Romane and Guillaume. They have known each other for more than 30 years now.

Their marriages and their children have not succeeded in keeping them away and precisely, this weekend, the band of fifty-somethings finds itself in Champagne for the bachelor party of Patrick, the last bachelor of the band.

But the future wife, arriving unexpectedly, does not seem to be unanimous… In this sublime vineyard, over the giggles, shouting matches and reconciliations, tensions rebound… because in friendship, everyone world clink glasses!

“I really wanted to and I also have the impression that it’s a logical extension of what I was able to do before. From Belle et Sébastien, I started to direct more and more actors and above all to take real pleasure in building characters and stories with them!”explains Nicolas Vanier in the press kit for the film.

“I filmed nature for almost 30 years. It’s no longer a challenge for me: I know how to do it! In my last films, I also learned to put a smile or even laughter into the stories I told. and it was my actors themselves, François Cluzet among others, who pushed me to go more frankly by provoking me: “you are made for that”!”he says.

“Honestly, it was an exercise that scared me a bit, but when Radar Films made me read this script, this story of friends that I liked, I decided to take the plunge”concludes the 60-year-old director.

To interpret the colorful characters of his comedy, Nicolas Vanier called on a great troupe of actors!

Elsa Zylberstein, Eric Elmosnino, Valérie Karsenti, Stéfi Celma, Sylvie Testud, Stéphane De Groodt, François-Xavier Demaison, André Penvern and Marie-Julie Baup.

Note that Demaison had already played alongside De Groodt in Without leaving a trace and Connected. In addition, Nicolas Vanier had turned Elmosnino into L’Ecole buissonnière.

In addition, Elsa Zylberstein finds Sylvie Testud after Simone, the trip of the century, Tomorrow we move and To your good heart ladies.
